While we dont think this is a wide-spread phenomenon, employers have increasingly been screening candidates using social media, and now 91 percent of employers admit to using social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to screen job candidates. But from the sound of this article, some employers are taking this practice one disturbing step further.What if, instead of viewing only what they could access publicly, employers required that you either sign into your Facebook account during a job interview, or friend them so they can view your whole profile? The Maryland Department of Corrections is one employer requiring job candidates to log into their accounts during interviews, showing them wall posts, pictures, and with whom theyre friends.If youre a job seeker, what would you do in this situation?
